• Location: Wausau, WI (zip 54401) – Wisconsin travel nursing opportunity
• Healthcare Setting: Med Surg Intermediate Care / Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 21, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float: May float to all inpatient units, including higher acuity areas
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130

• Active Wisconsin RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• ICU and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• EPIC electronic charting experience preferred

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced, 36-bed unit
• Care for patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, sepsis, trauma, GI bleeds, chest tubes, stroke, and more
• Float to higher acuity inpatient units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing clinical situations and manage tasks independently
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC (preferred)
