- Med Surg/Observation
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed - typically in 4-hour increments
- 8-bed observation unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
- Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, with average patient stay up to 48 hours
- Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
- High volume of admissions and discharges
- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required - EKG exam administered during compliance
- Background in observation, med/surg, or telemetry units required
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- 1 prior travel assignment required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS highly preferred
- Associate Degree or Certificate required
- Any color scrubs permitted
