General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and supporting operational goals.

Essential Functions
  • Practice and promote safe behaviors.
  • Maintain awareness on the sales floor and keep egress clear.
  • Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy.
  • Assist customers at the register and answer questions politely.
  • Respond to customer service calls immediately.
  • Represent and support the company brand.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain store hygiene.
  • Adhere to the company’s dress code.
  • Execute daily sizing and recovery activities.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor.
  • Operate under the Loss Prevention Awareness program.
  • Safeguard confidential and cash information.
  • Follow Mark‑Out‑of‑Stock policies.
  • Follow cash, check, charge card and refund policies.
  • Execute best practices and minimize workflow steps.

Qualifications & Special Skills Required
  • Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership.
  • Basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
Physical Requirements / ADA
  • Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
  • Stand, walk, and move around the store 100% of working time.
  • Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
  • Additional assignments may require other qualifications.
  • Stockroom shifts: regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
