** THE ROLE**:
The Field Service Technician Level 1 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites.  Product specific training will be provided.  Will interact with customers.

* CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily after sufficient training is provided.
* Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
* Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels
* Basic understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
* Assist with start-ups and emergency callouts
* Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers
* Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
* Working with various Company provided hand and power tools
* Accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system
* Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations
* Take care of company property
* Demonstrates High Impact Culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
* Must be able to function in a team environment
* Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed
** TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:*
* • Some travel required (overnight stays, away from home)

* QUALIFICATIONS:

**** Education Requirements*
* • HS diploma or equivalent
** Experience Requirements:*
* • 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred
** Skill Requirements:*
* • Electrically and mechanically inclined
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
• Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
