We're hiring an Engineering Administrative Assistant who will be supporting large fiber telecommunications projects. This position is responsible for coordinating municipal requirements, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), bonds, licenses, and other project-related documentation.

This is an on-site role, located in Wauwatosa, WI 53226

What You'll Do
  • Research municipal codes, ordinances, websites, and other resources to determine requirements for fiber construction projects
  • Identify municipal requirements related to bonds, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), licenses, permits, and other required documentation
  • Prepare, submit, track, and maintain Certificates of Insurance and bond documentation
  • Communicate directly with municipalities by phone and email regarding project requirements, documentation, licenses, bonds, COIs, and other requests
  • Follow up with municipalities to obtain approvals, clarify requirements, and resolve outstanding documentation
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Engineering - Large Projects and Engineering team
  • Prepare, format, scan, copy, and distribute project and municipal documents
  • Mail, ship, and track documents and other materials as needed
  • Track outstanding items and follow up with internal employees, municipalities, vendors, and other parties
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties within the Engineering Department
  • Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, construction, telecommunications, engineering, permitting, compliance, or related experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must be resourceful, flexible and maintain the ability to react and respond quickly with a focus on accuracy and details
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
