Anticipated Pay Rate:

• With DPI Special Ed Program Aide License $19.18 (may be reimbursed $100 after 90 days)
• With DPI Teacher or Specialty License/Certification $21.25

Wauwatosa School District (WSD) seeks a Special Education Assistant to support students with intellectual disabilities at Wauwatosa Montessori School, which serves approximately 179 students. The Assistant works under certified teachers to provide academic instruction, behavioral supports, supervision, daily living, and delegated nursing tasks. CPI training is preferred or willingness to receive CPI training. This is a job‑share position with another employee, working a total of 3 days per week.

• Provide academic instruction to students with intellectual disabilities under supervision of certified teachers.
• Deliver behavioral support and supervision throughout the school day.
• Assist with daily living tasks and delegated nursing responsibilities.
• Participate in job-sharing schedule (3 days per week).

• Relevant educational background or certification in special education.
• Obtain DPI Special Ed Program Aide License or DPI Teacher/ Specialty License within 90 days (if required).
• Willingness to receive CPI training.
