Performs engineering tasks under moderate guidance that are varied and moderately difficult, which require troubleshooting and interpretation of data, development of new test methods or procedures and are used for a variety of situations. Assists in the development, execution, and organization of detailed design development as part of major projects with a moderate scope.
Job Responsibilities- Conducts and/or specifies moderately complex tests using techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems; prepares technical reports based on results
- Applies advanced computer-aided engineering analysis techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems
- Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to concept analysis, business case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps; recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
- Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve more complex problems
- Compiles and analyzes test results; formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations
- Provides liaison support between the engineering department and manufacturing
- Supports supplier selection and interaction
- Recommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
- Contributes to the development of engineering test standards where applicable
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures and other internal engineering standards and systems
- Knowledge of engineering systems
- Knowledge of company and competitor’s products and technical abilities of suppliers
- Well-developed understanding of company processes and procedures including, but not limited to new product development process
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well-developed written communication skills necessary for technical report writing
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field
Experience Requirements- Three years of professional engineering experience
May require travel of a scheduled or urgent nature to review applications, discuss problems, visit suppliers / customers, trade shows, etc.
