WAUWATOSA at our CP‑TOSA HEALTH CENTER facility.

Job Summary: This patient‑facing role is primarily responsible for performing hands‑on patient care and supporting providers while in clinic. Typical daily duties include standard rooming, taking vitals, administering vaccines, specimen collection, setting up and turning over rooms, and assisting providers as needed.
Additional duties: Completing patient refill requests and following our standard system refill protocol. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Remaining compliant with all educational, licensure or certification requirements
  • Cross‑training and floating as needed to provide services across sites and maintain optimal clinic operations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an MA program, an EMT‑Basic course, or training on the job as an MA with one year of experience in health care, or completion of an MA Apprentice program (for MA) OR required certifications for MA Sr including Military Medic/Corpsman training, or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant credentials (CMA, RMA, A ‑OE, CCMA, NPCE), Certified Paramedic, Advanced EMT, or licensed LPN program (for MA Sr)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire (required)
  • One year of healthcare experience (preferred for MA; required for MA Sr)
