10 Cloud Engineer – 12+ month contract, 100% onsite in Waukesha, WI.

Summary:

Genesis
10 is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Backend Engineer with a strong background in cloud‑native development and device‑to‑cloud integration. The candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems that connect medical devices to the cloud, enabling real‑time imaging workflows and data analytics.

• Design and implement cloud‑based pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing DICOM imaging data from edge devices.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, Java).
• Integrate with DICOMWeb services, including STOW‑RS, WADO‑RS, and QIDO‑RS, for image upload, retrieval, and query.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform).
• Ensure secure data transmission using TLS, IAM, and OAuth2, with full audit logging and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops, QA, and product teams to deliver high‑quality, production‑ready solutions.

• 5‑6 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS).
• Strong backend development skills in Python and Java.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices.
• Jenkins experience.
• Experience with SaaS platforms.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Background in medical device software and clinical workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with DICOM and DICOMWeb, especially STOW‑RS for image ingestion.
• Experience integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with PACS or similar imaging systems.
