Job Summary

As a Supply Programs Manager, you serve as a strategic leader and key influencer within Harley-Davidson’s product development ecosystem. This role ensures seamless integration of supply management priorities into program plans, drives operational excellence, and fosters collaboration across cross-functional teams. By balancing resource optimization, supplier alignment, and continuous improvement, you enable successful product launches and safeguard supply chain resilience—all while championing efficiency, quality, and cost competitiveness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Champion Supply Management in Product Development by acting as the voice of Supply Management by actively participating in program leadership meetings and launch readiness reviews, ensuring critical milestones are integrated into timing plans and communicated across stakeholders.
  • Optimize resource allocation and team development by creating and maintaining resource plans to level-load workloads, assigning staff to support Life Cycle Plans, and mentoring analysts to follow standard processes and stay current on systems and tools.
  • Drive program execution and reporting ensuring programs are delivered via PFEP and standard work practices, tracking meaningful metrics, and accurately reporting milestone impacts, risks, and issues using scorecards, templates, and governance forums.
  • Remove barriers and elevate issues by serving as the first point of escalation for cost, timing, delivery, and quality challenges, providing objective input and solutions to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Align with strategic sourcing initiatives by collaborating with Sourcing & Supplier Management to support commodity strategies, provide feedback on supplier performance, and strengthen supply security and cost efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement and strategic goals through identifying and implementing savings opportunities, improving processes, and fostering open communication with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and program health.
Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years in supply chain management, procurement, or materials planning within a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple milestones, including resource planning and risk mitigation.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring analysts, and driving adherence to processes while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting commodity strategies, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying efficiency opportunities, implementing process improvements, and supporting organizational strategic goals.
