Overview

As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague – also known as a Beauty Advisor – you are the trusted expert our customers turn to for all things beauty. Passionate about both products and people, you play a key role in creating a personalized and inspiring shopping experience that builds confidence and drives sales. You serve as an educator and beauty expert, offering expert advice, conducting product demonstrations and providing tailored consultations, including makeup application and skincare recommendations.

  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact: wear name badge, greet teammates, ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers. Review sales goals, new arrivals, top-selling items, and stay up to date on trends and promotions.
  • Focus on the customer on the floor: offer a warm welcome, make eye contact, create friendly, personal conversations to build relationships that bring customers back.
  • Maintain the space: refresh signage and pricing, assist with merchandise moves as needed, and support a seamless customer experience. Finish strong by sharing Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have everything they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you and a personalized touch.
  • Support one another: collaborate with honesty, care, and teamwork to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive for excellence: improve every day, meet sales goals, learn from each other, and deliver results for both the store and the team.
Qualifications
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to:
    • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
    • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships with customers, uncovering their needs, demonstrating product application, and educating them on the benefits and use of beauty products.
  • Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized and shoppable space, using clienteling tools, participating in sales events, and staying up to date through ongoing training and vendor education.
  • Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
  • Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required.
Essential

Physical Requirements
  • Requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25lb, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching, including above eye level.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash register to process transactions.
