Responsibilities- Operate various can lines, casers and de-palletizers in a safe and productive manner.
- Maintain all required paperwork including quality checks, production reports, and inventory documentation.
- Perform and understand quality checks and associated paperwork in accordance with the Nestlé QMS.
- Maintain general housekeeping and food safety related sanitation.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and support a continuous improvement culture.
- Complete inventory transactions and follow Waverly Norms.
- Operate and control line equipment, adjusting packaging equipment safely to maintain performance standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor.
- Supply machine centers with packaging and raw materials.
- Inspect materials before use to verify correct material and raw ingredient meet CCP requirements.
- Reject damaged or deficient materials not meeting specification.
- Maintain food factory level of sanitation and communicate with operators, mechanics, and management.
- Follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, plant safety rules, report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to the Safety Management System for safety procedures and programs.
- Adhere to the Nestlé USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets.
- Support continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution.
- Rework all acceptable product and packaging material back onto the line during the shift.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous lift truck certification and experience (highly desired).
- Previous experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment (strongly preferred).
- Basic proficiency in English to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
- Willing and able to stand frequently, work overtime, and work various shifts.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Second shift position: 4 pm-12 am with rotating mandatory overtime at the beginning or end of shift.
Pay $28.25/hr this position will all be trained on Pouch Lines.
