Title: Instructor, Industrial Process Control Technology – 9/10 Month (Term) - Humphreys County Campus

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction on topics in Industrial Process Control Technology.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.

Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.

Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on weekends. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions. Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Actively participate on divisional and institutional committees. Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution.

Comply with all college and T  policies and guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in Technology or related field

NCCER certification or four years’ industry experience in industrial process control technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field

NCCER certification or four years’ industry experience in industrial process control technology

College-level teaching experience

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of student populations. Practical application and industrial craft experience.

Rate of Pay: $43,694.00 to $54,618.00 annually, depending on experience
