Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer & Tax Reviewer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this dual role will possess a strong background in accounting and tax prep of all tax types, experience with reviewing peer work and with the ability to analyze financial documents and provide exceptional customer service. Candidate must have public accounting experience and must know how to manage trial balances, general ledgers and more.
We are heavily involved in the syndicated partnership side (1065s) with K‑1s and several investors.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
- Review peer tax returns and accounting.
- Analyze financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant data to determine tax liabilities.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books and Ultra Tax to manage client accounts effectively.
- Provide guidance on financial concepts and tax strategies to clients, helping them make informed decisions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax regulations and changes in legislation that may affect clients.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring all financial records are accurate and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency.
- Ability to stick to time budgets and turn in clean and accurate work for review.
- Proven experience in tax preparation, reviewing, and public accounting is required.
- Candidate should have their CPA or be in the works of obtaining the certification.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients.
