CT​/Radiology Technologist PRN​/Relo

CT/Radiology Technologist FT/PRN at Altus Community Healthcare. Performs radiologic procedures (CT and X-ray) using ionizing radiation with computerized CR or DR processing, delivering quality patient care and technical skills for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

$4,000 sign-on bonus

• Perform routine and complex CT and X-ray procedures using DR/CR imaging systems.
• Process images and patient information through RIS and PACS, or other electronic workflows.
• Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately.
• Set and adjust technical factors for DR and CR processing.
• Ensure sterile supplies and contrast materials are readily available; prepare radiology room for procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast material (oral, IV, or enema) as directed by a radiologist.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus graduation from an approved education program in radiologic technology.
• Experience: Preferred: 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT registration;
  Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist license; current BLS (CPR) certification.

• Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs.
• Ability to stand for long periods; occasional overhead and low reaching.
• Ability to exert force up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
• Other physical requirements as needed to perform CT and X-ray procedures.

Patient care environment with Category 1 exposure to blood borne pathogens, radiation, and/or high energy magnetic fields.
