Part-time Allied Health Instructor

POSITION

PURPOSE:

The Allied Health Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of continuing education courses in the Allied Health field as assigned.

• Responsible for teaching a variety of continuing education courses in the Allied Health field. Specific qualifications will vary by course.
• Teaching assignment may include classes on any Navarro College Campus or Online.
• Classes occur in the evening, during the day or on the weekend.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Current license as Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in Texas; AND
• At least two years of nursing experience; AND
• At least one year of experience in a long-term care or nursing facility or at least one-year of experience in teaching or supervising clinical students in a long-term care or nursing facility.

OR

• Current license as a Registered Nurse, AND
• At least two years of experience in a long-term care setting, or an instructor in a school of nursing, OR at least two years of experience employed in a correctional setting.

OR

• Current license as a registered pharmacist, AND
• At least one year of experience and currently employed as a consultant pharmacist in a facility; OR at least two years of experience employed as a pharmacist in a correctional setting.

• Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
• Busy working environment with numerous interruptions

$31 per hour / up to 19 hours per week
