Maintenance Mechanic II and Maintenance Mechanic III

Pay
:
Starting from $25/hr, with an additional $2 per hour for overnight shifts.

Dallas/Fort Worth area (nearest major market: Dallas, TX; nearest secondary market: Fort Worth, TX).

Responsibilities

Maintenance Mechanic II

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, install and repair production and/or facilities machines and equipment in accordance with established manufacturing procedures to achieve efficiency, quality and optimum production objectives.
  • Follow and commit to KPI’s for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
  • Follow practices to provide safe products that comply with laws and regulations and meet company quality standards.
  • Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment.
  • Repair equipment during mechanical breakdowns or assist other staff in repairs.
  • Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts.
  • Within production or facilities maintenance, perform responsibilities such as: communicate with operators to detect equipment problems; layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems; repair gauges and valves; assist machinists/fabricators; follow blueprints and schematics; use hand tools and measuring devices; operate PIT, hoist, crane, and aerial lift; inspect, operate, or test machinery and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and learn SAP PM and related processes.
  • Prioritize work to meet production schedules; train other Maintenance Mechanics as required; may troubleshoot basic electrical problems.

Maintenance Mechanic III

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, install and repair complex and specialized plant and facility equipment.
  • Follow KPI’s for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements; follow safety and GMP requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and understand precedence relationships; assist with change-overs and set-ups.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts.
  • In production or facilities maintenance, diagnose and repair complex machine and electrical problems; troubleshoot control systems; read and interpret blueprints and drawings; install and repair equipment and electrical systems.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data; perform preventive maintenance; maintain documentation; use SAP PM and related tools; prioritize work; train others; apply knowledge across multiple skilled trades.
  • May perform responsibilities within multiple skilled trades (production/facility machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pipe fitting, carpentry, utilities, etc.).

Skills and Qualifications

Maintenance Mechanic II – Required

  • Three (3) years’ experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair or equivalent experience with trade school or training
  • Knowledge and use of hand-tools, power-tools; mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot moderately complex problems
  • Math skills (basic operations); ability to read blueprints and schematics; experience with test equipment; ability to operate PIT, hoists and cranes with certification
  • Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes and inspect/repair components
  • Strong communications for safety and quality issues
