Aviation Flight Instructor JAARS Covering mile

To conduct evaluation, initial, transition, proficiency, and recurrent training events, ensuring that all activities meet or exceed FAR, ISJAO, and/or Waxhaw Aviation standards To conduct classroom or simulator training events. This will involve construct, updating, and documentation of ground-based training curriculum and events.

• Conduct all flight, classroom, or simulator-based training using the lesson plans, instructor notes, and training aids developed for that particular training event
• Conduct all training within the guidelines and limitations established in the ISJAO and WAOM
• Brief the PIU before and debrief after each training event
• Complete all forms for training given
• Inform the appropriate Coordinator of Flight Training (Initial or Recurrent as applicable) of training progress and any additional training requirements that impact scheduling and coordination between Initial and Recurrent Coordinators
• Meet regularly with the Aviation Training Manager to discuss relevant training issues
• Prevent or terminate any known situation that compromises flight safety or violates applicable flight standards

• Meets appropriate ISJAO requirements and continuing qualifications
• Minimum of one term flight experience in an overseas SO
• Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate
• Successful completion of JAARS Supervisory Pilot Flight and Ground Training Course
• Current in the aircraft type used for the training event
• Ability to evaluate others
