The Goddard School located in Waxhaw, North Carolina has been open for 13 years and has 170 children under our care. We are the premier preschool for children from six weeks to six years old and are looking to add qualified Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K lead teachers to our team! Our talented teachers collaborate with parents to nurture children into respectful, confident, and joyful learners.

What’s it like to be a teacher at our School?

Observe children’s interests and work with co-teachers and educational support staff to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum.

Develop weekly lesson plans alongside our Curriculum Coordinator to be utilized in the classroom;
Co-lead all classroom activities throughout the course of the day.

Feel a sense of accomplishment as you experience the laughter and wonder of children participating in activities you planned.

Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.

At The Goddard School, our teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members;
Works cooperatively alongside all co-teachers and school resource teachers.

Works productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures.

Is highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Is able to complete weekly lesson plans to be carried out within the classroom.

Is dependable, reliable and adaptable and enjoys working in teams.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Meets background check eligibility.
