CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- ARRT (R)(CT) — Certification in Radiologic Technology with further specialization in CT.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — Current healthcare provider certification.
- EPIC Certification — Proficiency in the EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.
- All modalities require photo for compliance purposes. NC State Licensure is not required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Join Atrium Health Waxhaw as a highly skilled CT/Radiologic Tech Dual Modality professional in a dynamic, high-volume environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple modalities, including CT and general radiography, providing vital diagnostic imaging services in a Level IV Trauma Center. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient-centered care, supporting a team of nurses and transport staff, and utilizing Siemens and GE imaging equipment within an EMR system (EPIC).
This position involves working a flexible schedule with varied shift times (listed per modality), including a rotating holiday schedule where travelers are expected to work approximately 75% of holidays. The successful candidate will adapt to a fast-paced setting, handle a diverse patient population, and demonstrate professionalism and technical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across CT and general radiography modalities.
- Ensure all imaging complies with departmental protocols and safety standards.
- Support nursing and transport teams to provide seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC EMR system.
- Adhere to facility policies regarding scrub color (black scrubs), parking, and patient safety.
- Complete required online orientation (NEO) training and departmental onboarding (3–5 days depending on modality).
- Be flexible with work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and floating within the department as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant radiologic and CT experience in a hospital setting.
- Certification in ARRT (R)(CT) and BLS valid at the time of hire.
- Strong technical skills in operating Siemens and GE imaging equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Compassionate approach to patient care in a high-volume environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Prior experience in a trauma or emergency setting.
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR.
- Experience in a teaching hospital or Level IV trauma center is a plus.
