JAARS is a Christian, non-profit organization, which provides transportation and communication solutions, to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. The JAARS Training Center in Waxhaw, NC has a high volume of staff, guests, and trainees on-site each day. The Training Center consists of housing units, offices, classrooms, outdoor training space, and an airport. JAARS security officers monitor global and domestic operations and have an essential role in conducting ongoing risk analysis.

They also work to ensure reliable communication with all staff and are prepared to coordinate an appropriate response in the event of a crisis, impacting the organization’s work.

• Serve as on-site security by regularly patrolling the JAARS Training center and monitoring activity onsite.
• Ensure staff, guests, and trainees are provided a safe environment to train and work.
• Monitor current events to analyze and advise security protocols for global operations and ensure reliable communication for those staff working overseas in remote locations.
• Conduct regular risk analysis for domestic and global operations staff working varied projects in diverse regions.
• Prepare JAARS staff by ensuring they have received proper security training, specific to the region, area, and capacity they serve.

• High school diploma required or some college preferred.
• Security or Law Enforcement experience preferred
• Make wise decisions and lead well during stressful situations and encounters
• Ability to work with electronic access control and video monitoring systems.
• Able to quickly adapt and carry out various projects and tasks under pressure or during stressful situations.
