Boswell Oil Company is a dynamic growth-oriented distributor of lubricants and fuels to wholesale, retail, and commercial end user markets throughout Georgia. We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for our company. Previous experience making repair and service calls to customers required and experience repairing equipment related to petroleum pumps and storage is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is focused, safety minded, and customer oriented.

The position will base out of either our Waycross, Ga or Albany, Ga warehouse. The job is posted for both locations but there is only one position available. The typical schedule will be 8a-5p Monday through Friday.

To meet customer need there may be schedule flexibility. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Complete service orders for all Boswell direct and indirect facilities and for customers. Perform various maintenance tasks and repairs on assigned equipment such as fuel pumps, oil pumps, small engines, and pneumatic equipment.

• Diagnoses deficiencies involving the production equipment to affect repair.
• Provides mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
• Dismantles equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
• Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, gears, and bearings.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
• Follows all department work instructions.
• Records all preventative maintenance, solutions to maintenance requests, and other required documentation as needed.
• Inspects and identifies equipment on tanks that need repair.
• Changes nozzles and hoses at retail and commercial customers.
• Installs above‑ground tank components (pump, meters, hoses, nozzles, fittings, and monitors).
• Delivers and retrieves above‑ground tanks.
• Samples and treats fuel.
• Assists in the implementation of improvement projects or system enhancements, which will result in efficiency improvements, quality improvements, and/or cost savings.
• Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
• Solves problems as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Follows prescribed safety rules and fosters an environment where employee safety is a top priority.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Cross training to assist in other departments most likely to include supporting the warehouse and warehouse functions.

Required and responsible for employee safety, attending safety training, complying with all company safety and work policies, and reporting all accidents/injuries immediately to the Manager and HR Department.

The minimum education required for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably a certification from a vocational or technical training program. Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or field service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
