Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Waycross, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety of our fleet.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems efficiently.
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

This position involves working in a garage or outdoor environment, often in varying weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
