Graduate Assistant Men's and Women's Wrestling
LOCATION: Wayland Baptist University – Plainview Campus
SUPERVISED BY: Head Coach & Athletic Director
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting in all facets of athletics operations that are assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Specific Tasks and Duties- Pre/post game obligations.
- Scouting of opponents.
- Facility supervisor.
- On-floor coaching.
- Film exchange.
- Supervision of conditioning program.
- Camp organization.
- Recruitment of student athletes.

Minimum QualificationsEducation: Undergraduate degree is required.
Experience and Knowledge: Prior experience in athletics is preferred.

- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be student-oriented with empathy for the academic demands of the student-athlete.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish their identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Employee must be able and willing to travel and recruit. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license.
Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.
