Pharmacy Technician – Corewell Health

Wayne – Part time, 20 hours per week, rotating shift.

• Fills medication orders including oral, injectable and topical medications and intravenous admixtures.
• Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms.
• Inventories and restocks shelves in immediate work area, checks for outdated drugs.
• Enters charges and credits into the computer for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed from the Pharmacy, documents all medications and IV solutions returned to the Pharmacy.
• Distributes prepared medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital.
• Performs necessary record keeping functions.
• Answers telephone and assists at Pharmacy window.
• May rotate within hospital and out‑patient pharmacy service areas as required.
• Maintains the work area in a safe, orderly manner.
• Follows appropriate clean room (797) guidelines in the preparation of intravenous admixtures.

• High school diploma program or GED.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program. Preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician license —  State of Michigan Upon Hire required OR.
• Pharmacist Intern license —  State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
