POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Production Associate at Quest Specialty supports the safe and efficient operation of production lines and equipment in the aerosol manufacturing process. This position performs various duties related to product filling, labeling, packaging, and material handling. The role requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork to ensure consistent production flow and adherence to company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with line operations including filling, labeling, packing, and palletizing finished goods.
- Support machine operators during product changeovers, setups, and cleanups.
- Load and unload materials and components to keep lines running efficiently.
- Monitor products for quality, correct labeling, and packaging integrity.
- Complete required paperwork and production documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all 5S and safety requirements.
- Communicate any safety, quality, or production issues promptly to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Follow all HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) policies and participate in safety initiatives.
- Provide support to other team members to ensure smooth production operations.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and documentation.
- Basic math and measurement skills with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or chemical processing environment.
- Experience operating automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 5S, or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, goggles, and respirators as required.
- Work is performed in a production environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and temperature variations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing floor with frequent interaction with mixers, fillers, and other automated equipment.
- Team-oriented environment requiring communication and cooperation to meet production targets safely.
