We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Wayne, NJ. This position will work closely with the Controller and operational teams to support financial reporting, job cost analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk administration.

The ideal candidate is a strong financial professional who can analyze data, identify trends and discrepancies, communicate findings clearly, and help improve financial and operational visibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze monthly financial results, prepare variance analyses, and identify significant trends, fluctuations, and inconsistencies for Controller review.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and financial information supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Review job costs for accuracy, investigate variances and discrepancies, and work with Project Managers to resolve issues and communicate findings.
  • Assist with WIP schedules and project performance reporting, including identification of financial trends, exceptions, and risks.
  • Support general accounting and month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, financial statements, and fixed asset records.
  • Assist with banking, cash management, annual audit support, tax reporting, and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain Time & Material and Change Order pricing schedules and monitor indirect costs for opportunities to improve operations.
  • Support administration of company insurance programs, including certificates, OCIP documentation, and insurance audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and provide backup support for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation, training, and special projects as directed by the Controller.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of related Financial Analyst experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data and clearly communicate findings.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, project management, and operational teams.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Sage 300 experience is a plus.
  • Prior ERP/Systems implementation and/or modification experience is a plus.
