Senior Accountant

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Senior Accountant.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjusting entries with supporting documentation and in accordance with close deadlines
• Coordinate with business partners and cross-functional teams to obtain information required to support close activities. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Perform trend and variance analyses to validate account activity and identify potential errors or anomalies.
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation in support of internal and external audits.
• Research and resolve audit inquiries, discrepancies, and accounting issues in collaboration with business partners and management.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and system implementations that impact financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years progressive experience in an accounting or finance role (preferably in a leasing, banking or financial services firm)
• Experience booking journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts for an accrual-based accounting ledger.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting automation.
• Financial systems experience, encompassing spreadsheet, queries, data analysis including large volume data manipulation and reconciliation, and month-end accounting close processes.

• Experience in equipment leasing with knowledge of lease accounting concepts
• SOX / Controls experience

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range*: Between $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
