Responsibilities- Prepare and mail required regulatory disclosures
- Order appraisal and flood certification, and retrieve and review same
- Score application via automated underwriting system and carefully review decision results
- Communicate with applicant, Home Loan Consultant, and/or Home Loan Assistant to request required documentation
- Verify accuracy of information upon receipt and edit LOS as needed
- Review entire file, put in proper order and submit to underwriter
- Manage an assigned pipeline of loans and ensure contingency and closing dates are met
- Work with Home Loan Consultant to determine viable solutions to make deals work while balancing high credit quality
- Update general comments with all activity on the loan
- Request verifications (VOE, VOD, VOM, etc.), when applicable
- Provide customers with periodic status updates regarding their loan application
Required Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic PC skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and pipeline management skills
- Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, ethical manner
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA underwriting guidelines
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months related experience in residential mortgage processing
