Abound Health is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in New Jersey to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

What Your Day Looks Like (LPN Responsibilities)

As Direct Support Professional at Abound Health, you will apply your nursing skills in a supportive community setting while gaining experience that strengthens your clinical career:

Community Integration and Client Empowerment

Build trusting, positive relationships and align individual needs with their goals.

Act as a passionate advocate, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves.

Identify opportunities for greater independence in work-related tasks.

Patient Care & Nursing Support

Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, mobility assistance, and personal care.

Administer medications accurately in accordance with NJ state regulations.

Perform basic nursing procedures such as injections and tube feedings (if applicable).

Care Coordination & Advocacy

Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).

Advocate for individuals and collaborate with families, care teams, and community resources.

Clinical Documentation

Complete timely, accurate documentation of care, treatments, and medication administration—an essential skill in every nursing role.

Behavioral & Safety Support

Utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Active New Jersey LPN License (required).

A passion for supporting individuals with I/DD.

Strong communication, professionalism, and time-management skills.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass background checks per NJ regulations.
