What Your Day Looks Like (LPN Responsibilities)As Direct Support Professional at Abound Health, you will apply your nursing skills in a supportive community setting while gaining experience that strengthens your clinical career:
Community Integration and Client EmpowermentBuild trusting, positive relationships and align individual needs with their goals.
Act as a passionate advocate, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves.
Identify opportunities for greater independence in work-related tasks.
Patient Care & Nursing SupportProvide direct nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, mobility assistance, and personal care.
Administer medications accurately in accordance with NJ state regulations.
Perform basic nursing procedures such as injections and tube feedings (if applicable).
Care Coordination & AdvocacyParticipate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).
Advocate for individuals and collaborate with families, care teams, and community resources.
Clinical DocumentationComplete timely, accurate documentation of care, treatments, and medication administration—an essential skill in every nursing role.
Behavioral & Safety SupportUtilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, supportive environment.
What You Bring (Qualifications)Active New Jersey LPN License (required).
A passion for supporting individuals with I/DD.
Strong communication, professionalism, and time-management skills.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass background checks per NJ regulations.
