Med​/Surg RN - Registered Nurse

Nurses 24/7 specializes in placing Healthcare Professionals in Acute Care settings on a per diem, short/long term local contracts or travel basis. We listen to nurses’ needs and help them land their dream job.

The basic function of this position is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate all nursing activities for a specific area of a nursing unit in conjunction with the head nurse or charge nurse of the unit.

Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, family members, significant others, client facility staff, volunteers, physician office staff, Nurses 24/7 administrative staff, and other agency nursing personnel, supervisors, payroll and staffing personnel.

Client facilities of varied sizes and available equipment.

Duties may vary depending upon client facility policy.

Nurses may be exposed to communicable diseases and may be assigned to patients in isolation.

Nurses may be exposed to infectious waste including radioactive waste material from nuclear medicine.

Will have working knowledge of universal precautions.

This position is located in NYC but there are similar opportunities throughout the tri-state area.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A minimum of one-year current experience (within a year) as an R.N. in the specialty they are applying for.
• Current active Registered Nurse license in the state of assignment without disciplinary action.
• Must maintain current American Heart Association BLS (ACLS, NRP, PALS if applicable).
• Must pass all prerequisite screening requirements (testing, medical and criminal, etc).
• Interpersonal and communication skills/ team player.
• Maintain professional level of conduct as per hospital policy and Nurses
  24/7 code of conduct.
