The Quality Associate is primarily responsible for ensuring both the quality of products and the processes that efficiently conduct business activities. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the maintenance of SOPs, communicating with regulatory agencies, and updating safety procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities Quality Management- Conduct Process Manager Meetings
- Process Mapping, Maintenance, and Improvements
- Coordinate and support Process Document Updates
- Conduct internal safety and process audits to support existing certifications (ISO, CTPAT)
- Coordinate, prepare, and support audits conducted by external agencies (e.g., ISO 9001; ISO 14001)
- Provide input to risk management (ISO related items)
- Open tickets to resolve system-related issues and conduct testing for system changes and upgrades
- Conduct vendor audits, rapid plant assessments, and quality talks (new and existing vendors)
- Monitoring of expiring goods (Monthly Expiration List)
- Incoming goods inspections
- Lab maintenance and development (processes, equipment, sample kits)
- Specifications (process and maintenance)
- Inspections (maintain inspection plans, process inspection lots, first article inspections)
- Manage relabeling and repacking process
- Process quality, label, and expiration claims and document/investigate warehouse claims
- Escalate claims outside of target runtime (internal and external) and implement corrective actions
- Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or related field
- ASQ certification or similar
- SAP experience
- MS Office 365 experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of full-time work experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communicative skills
- Results-driven, action-oriented when working on assignments
- Experience with project management, able to see planned ideas right through to implementation, creativity, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to manage competing priorities across multiple requests (time management)
- Comfort with ambiguity in project work and a changing external environment
- Demonstrated ability to remain objective in stressful situations
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Service-oriented, demonstrates excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Active listening to understand vendor and customer needs
- Experience in coordinating quality initiatives with various departments
