Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Insurance):
Advance your career as a Senior Accountant with our insurance client in Radnor, PA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and regulatory compliance. Oversee monthly close processes, internal controls, and external reporting, while driving process improvements and mentoring junior staff to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Compensation: $85,000 – $90,000/year + bonus

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Insurance):
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial statements, regulatory filings, and internal reports with accuracy.
- Month-End Close: Process journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities in Oracle and other systems.
- Account Reconciliation: Maintain internal controls, reconcile key accounts, and ensure financial statement alignment.
- Audit & Budgeting: Support audit documentation, annual budgets, and ad hoc financial analyses.
- Process Optimization: Enhance monthly close efficiency through automation and best practices.
- Supervision & Compliance: Mentor staff accountants and ensure compliance with statutory, SEC, and insurance-specific regulations.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Insurance):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience, with expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and regulatory compliance.
- Industry Knowledge: Insurance industry experience with a strong understanding of statutory accounting principles (SAP) is highly preferred, with SEC reporting experience as a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accounting systems, with Oracle experience preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across teams.
