Title: Property Accountant

Location: Radnor / Wayne, PA (Onsite)

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Job Description

The Property Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting and monthly close activities for a portfolio of properties. This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in a multi-entity environment, and experience with property management accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly close activities for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Record journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments within the general ledger.
  • Track tenant receivables and maintain accurate AR balances.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and monitor property cash activity.
  • Process property-level accounts payable, including vendor setup and invoice entry.
  • Record monthly accruals with proper documentation.
  • Assemble monthly financial reporting packages and perform preliminary variance analysis.
  • Support lender reporting requests and year-end audit preparation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in real estate or property accounting.
  • Hands‑on experience with Yardi or similar property management software.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial schedules and reconciliations.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
