Job DescriptionThe Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the finance and accounting team, managing the monthly close process, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting compliance and audit functions. This individual will play an integral role in maintaining strong internal controls, improving processes, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Support external audit and tax activities by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Analyze variances and trends, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations.
- Partner cross-functionally with other departments to provide reporting and financial guidance.
- Assist with system enhancements, process automation, and accounting workflow improvements.
- Participate in ad hoc projects, management reports, and analytical assignments as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (Net Suite experience preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational ability, and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
