Position: Patient Service Rep I

Patient Service Rep I

Join the Axia Women’s Health team as a Patient Services Representative (PSR I) in Main Line OB/GYN, Exton, PA.

Location: Exton, PA (4 offices across Strafford, Paoli, Exton, Collegeville)

Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (M-F 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; evenings covered but may vary)

Essential Functions
  • Greet patients and visitors professionally and direct them to waiting areas.
  • Notify appropriate personnel and escort patients to exam rooms.
  • Route phone calls via direct transfer, paging, voicemail, or redirect professionally.
  • Retrieve and route messages from the answering service.
  • Screen solicitors for relevance to care center needs courteously.
  • Perform registration functions for new or existing patients and activate files.
  • Collect and record copayments as required.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and communicate benefit limitations clearly.
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and follow‑up visits.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters.
  • Provide additional support to patients and medical staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues, management, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Comply with all SOPs, policies, and procedures (HIPAA & OSHA).
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values with integrity and professionalism.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Compassionate, empathetic attitude toward patients.
  • Strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
  • Collaborative team member; highly adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule and cover satellite locations as needed.
Experience & Education
  • Medical receptionist/Patient Service Representative experience preferred, but not required.

Pay Range

$16 USD – $21 USD per hour
