Piper Companies is seeking a Data Developer to join a well‑established financial services company. This is a hybrid role located in Wayne, PA and focuses on supporting and enhancing their enterprise data warehouse environment. This role combines hands‑on development with data management.
Responsibilities- Perform data profiling, create source‑to‑target mappings, and develop ETL workflows using low‑code tools and/or Python
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and reliability
- Participate in testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of data integration processes
- Provide technical and business analysis for projects centered on data warehousing and BI solutions
- Contribute to data warehouse design decisions, ensuring optimal structures for processing and reporting
- Produce detailed technical specifications and maintain ETL documentation in partnership with architects and BI developers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data‑centric development roles
- Strong knowledge in Python
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Snowflake experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft and Linux environments
- Hands‑on experience with integration patterns (e.g., flat files, APIs, web services)
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles (ER diagrams, normalization)
- Exposure to low‑code ETL tools
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema)
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- $85,000‑$110,000
