Run Payments is shipping new features constantly across its fintech platform, built around monetizing and integrating payments. We are seeking someone to turn that pace into clear, consistent customer‑facing communication that actually drives adoption.
This role is the bridge between Product/Engineering, Ops/Support, and Sales. You will translate what we build into why it matters, how to use it, and how we onboard people into it at scale.
This is a hands‑on role with mentorship, real ownership and strong growth potential.
Role & ResponsibilitiesYou will build and run our Product Launch + Education engine, including:
1) Product storytelling (external + internal)- Turn feature releases into clear messaging: what it is, who it’s for, why it matters
- Write release notes, feature spotlights, short announcements, and partner updates
- Create simple positioning and “how to explain it” talk tracks for internal and external Sales, Support, and Partners
- Maintain and improve our knowledge base in Run Support (tutorials, FAQs, step‑step guides)
- Build onboarding journeys for new users (partners and merchants), including emails, checklists, and training paths
- Create short training videos and product/feature walkthroughs
- Plan and execute rollouts for new features (what ships, who needs to know, and when)
- Publish and distribute launch content across the right channels (Run Support, email, sales/partner comms, in‑app, webinars/training, etc.)
- Partner with Marketing/Creative to package assets (email, web, slides, short videos) and ensure brand consistency
- Partner with Marketing and Sales on basic targeting (segments/lists) and post‑launch performance tracking
- Maintain a launch calendar for cross‑functional planning and transparency
- Package product into assets that help deals move: demo scripts, one‑pages, slide templates, objection handling
- Help automate the demo and follow‑up process with repeatable sequences and content
- Partner with Sales on the “what do prospects need to see next” content flow
- Partner with Ops/Support to identify friction points in onboarding and day‑to‑day usage
- Create “getting started” and “next best action” programs that turn new users into confident users
- Build feedback loops so product learnings from the field improve content and training
- Establish a lightweight launch and documentation system: intake, messaging, documentation, enablement, release, and adoption follow‑up
- Create templates and “definition of done” checklists so releases ship with consistent, high‑quality material
- Maintain a clear source of truth (what’s current, what’s deprecated) and iterate based on usage/adoption data
- Sales and Partner Growth to drive clarity, consistency, and deal momentum
- Product and Engineering to understand what’s shipping and why
- Ops and Support to ensure accurate and align to real user workflows
- Leadership to prioritize what deserves deeper storytelling vs. lightweight updates
- Marketing and Creative to package launches into polished assets (design, video, web, email) and maintain brand consistency
You are great for this role if you are:
- A strong writer who can make complex topics simple and crisp
- Curious and comfortable asking smart questions until things make sense
- Detail‑oriented, but focused on clarity over jargon
- Organized and reliable with follow‑through across many moving parts
- Personable and confident working cross‑functionally, even without formal authority
- Excited by tech, product, and systems, even if you are not a developer
- Excellent writing and editing skills (professional, clear, user‑friendly)
- Ability to learn technical products quickly and translate accurately
- Comfort collaborating across teams and “connecting dots”
- Strong project management instincts (templates, timelines, checklists)
- Basic comfort with tools like Canva and simple video recording
- Entry level
- Full‑time
- Marketing and Sales
