The City of Waynesboro is advertising for an Accounting Officer. This position is responsible for performing cash management, budgetary functions and analysis, and accounting functions for the City, including maintaining all budgetary and financial records for the City's General Fund. Some duties of the position include developing the annual budget, monitoring revenues and expenses, providing reports to management on financial status, making recommendations for funding capital projects based on cash flow forecasting from multiple funding sources, performing bank reconciliations, assisting in annual audit preparation, and preparing annual financial statements.
