At Barren Ridge Physical Therapy—Stuarts Draft, we offer a wide range of specialized services, including Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Workers' Comp, Balance/Fall Prevention, Foot and ankle, Sports Enhancement, Vestibular, Functional Movement, Therapeutic Taping, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and medically supervised fitness programs. We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Stuarts Draft, VA team and make a difference in our clinic and community.
We are open to bringing in new therapy programs.
- Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
- Review the patient’s condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required.
- Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Hold responsibility for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
- Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals.
- Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
- Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers’ compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
- Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current State of Virginia license and CPR certification.
- Able to create and implement outpatient orthopedic and balance treatment plans.
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
- Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, database software, and MS Office.
