We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Collections Specialist for a long-term temporary role in Waynesboro, VA

• Monitor and maintain assigned customer accounts
• Generate and review Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports
• Apply payments accurately and prepare daily bank deposits
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and resolve billing issues
• Reconcile General Ledger and Allowance accounts
• Process refunds, credit memos, and account adjustments
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Support tax-related documentation and correspondence
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision preparation

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required
• Experience:
  
  3–5 years in corporate collections or accounts receivable
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of billing, collections, and cash applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
