Forklift Operator

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group is looking to add a Forklift Operator to the team in Waynesboro, VA. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a world class lumber organization as a first shift forklift operator. The position's primary responsibilities include operating a forklift in a large open warehouse to locate/organize/move material as needed.

• When not driving a forklift, employee may be asked to complete other work as needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.
• Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
• High School degree preferred, but not required.
• Assist in all areas of production
• Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision

• Previous experience as an equipment operator using a forklift of 10,000 lbs. and heavier required
• Prefer someone who has at least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years
• Must be self motivated and organized
• Willingness to work in outside environment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Locating/pulling/organizing loads of material needed for orders
• Ability to work independently
