Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Aerospace Patrol in Waynesboro, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security‑related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with personnel, and deliver exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any security‑related incidents or hazards encountered during patrols.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas to help maintain a secure environment at the location.
- Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and daily activities.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by site‑specific policies.
- Assist with emergency response protocols and support evacuation procedures as needed at the location.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- State, county, or city issued security license preferred.
- Ability to use a computer or tablet preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
