HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a small, family-owned company that values its employees, stands behind its work, and puts customers first. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will serve residential split systems, heat pumps, commercial rooftop units, and mixed residential and commercial systems throughout the local service area, primarily within Haywood County. The typical workflow includes scheduled residential calls, emergency repair dispatches, installation and service work, and preventive maintenance routes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including residential split systems, heat pumps, and commercial rooftop units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on residential and commercial equipment.
• Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Provide professional customer service during scheduled calls and emergency dispatches.
• Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
• Follow worksite safety practices and applicable code requirements.
• Service customers throughout the local area, primarily within Haywood County.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
• HVAC technical certificate or diploma.
• Experience with HVAC troubleshooting, refrigeration systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong technical documentation, customer service, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
