Phlebotomist II
Location:
Weatherford, TX
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Pay: $18.50+ per hour (based on skills, experience, education, certifications and market factors). Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
Responsibilities- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions per established training.
- Research test/client information, confirm and verify orders via lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required following corporate policies.
- Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order.
- Perform non‑patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
- Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
- Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
- Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible and available to accommodate staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
