Friendship Baptist Church, Weatherford, TX seeks a full-time Senior Pastor to lead us in equipping the saints for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Christ.

He should be prepared to lead us in congregational prayer, effective discipleship, unity of spirit, and strategic mission involvement both locally and globally. He should be prepared to shepherd us using Biblical preaching, loving relationships, clear communication and effective leadership.

He will be, as required in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, a man above reproach, humble, gentle, and self-controlled. The position also requires administrative and managerial skills – he will serve as preacher, minister, administrator and fellow-believer.

We are looking for a candidate who is a licensed and ordained minister, with a master’s degree from a Southern Baptist (or like-minded) seminary, and 5+ years vocational ministry experience (some Senior Pastor experience preferred).

We also believe that flexibility and strategic vision will be crucial, as the area in which we are located is experiencing a transition from rural to suburban character – from cow pasture to subdivision.

We are an SBC church, affiliated with the SBTC, more than 100 years old, debt-free, in a rapidly growing and changing area (the DFW area, specifically between Weatherford and Springtown).
