American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring ACLS certification and overnight shift availability.

• Night shift position, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment on the Med/Surg unit (2 South)
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• General Med/Surg patient population with procedures including IV insertion, NG tube placement, foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADL assistance

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele specialty experience required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• No work history gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

• Responsible for nursing decisions and actions within scope of practice, promoting a safe and therapeutic care environment
• Must demonstrate competence in Patient Experience standards including AIDET, Bedside Reporting, Hourly Rounding, and Service Recovery
• Navy blue scrubs with Medical City embroidery required; proof of purchase required
• Strict grooming and dress code policies apply, including restrictions on nail styles, hair, visible tattoos, and piercings
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
