The Technical Sales Rep position sells products for a manufacturer or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals. This position is classified as an “outside sales” position; the position’s primary duty is to obtain orders/contracts for products or services; employees are customarily and regularly engaged away from GCS’s place of business.

- Develop and implement a plan in conjunction with the Branch Manager to call on all customers, existing and new, in a defined geographic territory.
- Generate an effective route schedule.
- Drive the designated route and provide delivery and pickup services.
- Work closely with leadership to support customer needs.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years’ experience in outside sales with industrial engine accessory equipment. Electrical or mechanical background a plus. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Moderate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiar with web navigation, experience working with databases.
