To support our mission, we are seeking to fill a Rehabilitation Assistant (RA) position to join the Vocational Rehabilitation Department. This position is located at 225 College Park Dr, Weatherford, TX.

TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or be willing to relocate to Texas.

The RA assists the assigned VR Counselors in providing services to customers to achieve successful employment outcomes. The RA provides basic information regarding VR programs, services, and referral information to customers and vendors.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have excellent planning/organizing/time management/communication skills with the ability to prioritize/coordinate work in an independent manner to achieve goals.

• Performs:
  Entry level human services/rehabilitation support work; routine caseload support service such as creating, maintaining, and reviewing technical case‑management forms/files for accuracy utilizing the electronic case‑management system.
• Collects information for intake/profile process.
• Maintains appropriate business relationships with providers, businesses, customers and staff.
• Prepares/reviews reports for accuracy on monitored services.
• Provides: casework services/assistance to VR Counselors in certification of eligibility; service delivery tasks and utilizes the electronic case‑management system and other agency‑supported software programs; initial screening for individuals applying for VRS service programs.
• Participates in Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) training.
• Furnishes information regarding Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS)/VRS Program, services and requirements to applicants, customers, families, vendors, businesses and the general public.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
